Tim Schulz is a guitarist from DeKalb, Illinois who has been a fixture in the Rockford music scene since 1999 with a variety of Rockford Area Music Industry RAMI winning bands.
Tim has played guitar since the ‘70s and carries all of the influences that you’d expect: Beck, Clapton, Page, as well as more recent rockers as Warren Haynes and Audley Freed. He’s a skilled improviser with tone that combines the pastoral, like the Dead, to the blistering, like early Santana. He loves music from Neil Young to progressive jazz and beyond and his playing reflects this gumbo of influences.
He’s extremely pleased to be working with Cheryl, Ed, and Mike in the Fork.
Equally fluent on both acoustic and electric, Tim is also guitarist in kAt, a Rockford based acoustic duo, partnering with Karli Weber on lead vocals.
